"Peace will come to the hearts of humanity when they realize their oneness with the universe, it is everywhere."

This Remembrance Day, join us at the beautiful Beach United Church for a very special ceremonial concert in honouring of peace and an exploration of the sacred warrior archetype. The word 'warrior' strikes a confusing chord for most of us as it is an archetype that has been cast deeply into shadows and woundedness. We've witnessed some of the most horrifying wars on the planet in the last 100 years with millions of lives tragically lost. We are a species that is exhausted by the prospect of peace and now turn to a new possibility of fostering an enduring age of peace.
Ancient and spiritual wisdom traditions shine a different light on what it means to be a warrior as a figure of profoundly noble mission, a protector of the sacred; a being disciplined and devoted to striving for excellence and relentlessly cultivate honour. It is time to revise our sense of the warrior for it speaks to a universal energy that all humans are connected to that vitalizes our life with purpose and vigour. Rather than a conduit for violence, a true warrior strives to be a beacon of peace, fighting with love, respect and resilient kindness. Remembrance Day is a time to also remember the tragedies of war and those ancestors we have lost to the horrors of battlefields. Thus, we will also come together in a Grief Ritual to honour them and send them our love.
Darren Austin Hall will facilitate proceedings, sharing words of wisdom on the warrior archetype and songs, story-telling, and a Crystal Bowl Soundbath for peace which will also incorporate gongs and the Crystal Lyre. We will close with a collective free-chant using a crystal bowl to amplify our intentions as we sing together a prayer for great peace to reverberate into the wider world. Darren will also be joined by some special musical guests and yummy vegan snacks will also be on sale. This event is family friendly and children are most welcome! Children love the celestial sounds of the crystal bowls :) This ceremonial concert is held in proud partnership with Beach United Church.
"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the Souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that its center is really everywhere, it is within each of us. This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this. The second peace is that which is made between two individuals, and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is known that true peace, which, as I have often said, is within the Souls of humanity."
